Ledenjak Eqi, poznat i kao Eqip Sermia, hrani se Grenlandskim ledenim pokrovom, drugom najvećom ledenom masom na svijetu nakon Antarktike.
Led koji tvori ledenjak Eqi nastaje duboko unutar ledenog pokrova i polako teče prema fjordu kako ledenjak napreduje.
Ledenjak Eqi proteže se otprilike 3 km u širinu, s ledenim liticama koje dosežu visinu i do 200 metara. Lice ledenjaka je nazubljeno, s dubokim pukotinama i rupama, a vidljivi led predstavlja tisuće godina akumulacije i kompresije.
Glečer se pomiče procijenjenom brzinom od 2/3 m dnevno, što je relativno brzo za glečer njegove veličine. Vrlo je aktivan ledenjak i poznat je po glasnim zvukovima i vizualnom spektaklu ledenjaka koji se odlome u more, što ga čini popularnim odredištem za izlete brodom.
Samo je nekoliko mjesta na Grenlandu tako lijepo kao ledenjak Eqi.

G R E E N L A N D 🧊 Surrounded by towering mountain peaks and icebergs, this sailing adventure to East Greenland was a journey like no other. The remote fjord was our home for a week. Short nights sleeping and long days photographing felt like we’ve been sailing there for a much longer time. First time in a long, disconnected from the cellphone service, allowed for the true connection with the surrounding wilderness.
